analog just refers to the style of gauge. I prefer mechanical, but electric is always an option. We probably sell 99 mechanical to every electric if that's any indicator.

As far as trans life expectancy, it depends. Some guys can run a box on kill and they hold up. But for most of us, even 65 added HP for any length of time will kill that trans. So, I won't say you are on borrowed time, but I would start saving my pennies now.

Yes, the shop address is on 152nd. If you come by in the afternoon you can get Eric to take you for a ride in the shop truck. Small sticks, Adrenaline, Vulcan Compounds and built trans. It's an instant priority shifter. Mine runs a bit stronger, but that's only because I have some bigger FireBallPro injectors in there.

I wold not be too concerned about the coolant temps. But changing a T-stat is cheap and easy. May as well do the coolant at the same time.

I have a full meal DTT and tow my jetsled (approx 4K) a lot. As I am a licensed fishing guide, I spend about 200 days a year on the water. So I have some towing experience. Most of the time I am cranking down the highway at 70MPH+ and of course the usual back road and ramp. We just delivered a DTT for a truck making over 700HP and running 11's.

You could rebuild your own trans. It does take some special tools and you need to know what you are looking for. But a TC and VB is only going to get you so far. The problem is that a VB going into a stock trans has to have slightly different valving and the pressures are usually reduced a bit to protect the stock internals. Better than stock, but not even close to a full trans. With a unit with miles on it, doing the full trans just makes more sense. And if you pull the trans yourself, you can save the R&R labor at the shop.

The key to transmissions is not putting them together. I have a guy that I have sold 3 kits to. He's assembled them per the factory manual. Problem is, we use dome trick stuff that we only do at the shop. So, he could have had us build his trans for less than he's spent on parts so far.

So give Eric a call and see when is a good time to stop by. I am fishing with clients for the next 5 days, so I'll be scarce. Gotta get those Bonneville oversize Sturgeon!

I agree if you want 600hp driver then you need twins or your going to be rolling the coal like crazy with a big single. I have purchased a set of ddp 200's and getting ready to buy the bottom turbo for my setup, then I can save up for my plumbing. I am hoping to have the twins ready in sept of this year. I will be running my current turbo for a top s300 62/71/14. Once I get that done and hit the rollers I will post up my numbers. My current setup is at 488. I know that trans mods will be in order next. Like a billet output shaft...
