Hey guys,

I'm currently in the process of fixing my diesels body up.

Its a 2002 Ram 2500 Ext cab/Short box Cummins. I bought it for $6500 with 125k on it. It's maroon with champagne accents.

That's relatively half of KBB. Obviously there had to be a catch.

It was a work truck so the body wasn't so meticulously maintained. There are dents and scratches in alot of places, and being located in sunny(Lol..) Buffalo NY there was some rust too on the front fenders and the bottom of the doors.

I just stripped the champagne down and primered it. I angle grinded the cancer away on the doors until I reached a solid point. I'm currently In the process of bondo-ing(My first time ever so I'm making mistakes and having to go back at it..)

When that's done I'm laying another base of primer, and about 4-5 coats of flat black with matte clear coat on top. Therefore all my cancer will be covered and so will some scratches.

However that's not where all the problems end, my bed has a fair share of scratches on it yet I had a great idea. I'm going to order these: 2002 03 04 08 09 Dodge Ram Custom Bed Stripe Decal:eBay Motors (item 230346784828 end time Jun-09-09 08:26:26 PDT)

In flat black to match my paint and have them customized with "Cummins"

I realize they may take some sort of modification to be properly applied(As these are 3rd gen stripes), but I think it could be a great addition to my truck.

What do you think?
