Default who knows what this code is?

I lost all throttle one time the other day. Still had fuel and the truck was running but the throttle cut out and came back in and the check engine light was on for about a day. I cycled the ignition through 3 times and the code it gave me was P 1693, does anybody know what that one is?

Just go here and type in your code and it gives all of them. https://www.dieselbombers.com/codes.php

Your is just a companion code tellin you there is something in one of the computers.

Sounds like the classic APPS failure though.

my truck did the same the other morning. On the way to work the truck died momentarily on acceloration then took off , like I lefted my foot off the peddle. About 10 min later it did the same on accelorating and the same again a bit later but never again since a few days ago. I called the dealership and they never heard off such problem, Then i called FASS dealer here in Edmonton NADP and Glen.. said they were just to busy to help me even though I just bought the FASS from them in the fall. He said maybe 3 weeks if i'm lucky..sure glad I gave them my business! Anyway how do I check for error codes? just thought I'd check as much here as I can. Does this sound like watr or air in the lines? I did just change the filter in the FASS last week. Cummins has all the filters here in Edmonton.

Thats classic NADP. Very $$ and they suck. Even with shipping its much cheaper to get stuff from the US.

Do you have a fuel pressure guage?

If you want to slide by my plane in Sherwood Park, I can see what the code is and clear it for you.

Im not real knowledgeable on third gens though.

You need a OBDII scanner. The key on/off trick isnt even worth wasting time on.

Thanks.., But I picked up a scanner at Crappy Tire. Figured it's probably going to come in handy in the near future anyway. The truck has 130,000+ on it. Thanks again for your help on the advise of getting it too. I appreciate that lot. I ran the scanner and found no codes whatsoever, so now I,m down to the FASS. Air in the system from the filter change ? Water? Oh well.., drove the truck to Ft Sask yesterday..no incicdent at all. These intermitent problems are the worst.
