Breather bottle relocation

Breather bottle relocation
That breather bottle on my 02 is a PITA to get to.
And regardless of it getting emptied and cleaned at each oil change, it still leaves grime all over the left/front of the engine.
So I moved it.
Where it used to be.
(and the gunk it leaves behind)
One zip-tie along the way.
New location.
This is a temp bracket, working on another that will include the upper hose clamp and change the original zip-tie on the bottle to a metal clamp.

Nice job! I did almost the same thing. I just extended it straight down right by the axle and left the bottle off. It makes such a mess and clogged my radiator enough to raise the temp of the truck by 20 degrees and make the fan kick in without a load behind the truck! Any others that haven't done this yet check into it!

I just cleaned my radiator, the whole thing was almost plugged. Took about 30 minutes with a hot water 3500 psi washer to get it clean. I put a new hose on and ran it over the top of the engine to try to keep the oil in the motor and ran the hose back by the transmission beside the frame. That was a dumb setup from the get go they came up with.

We were real careful, it was at a buddies shop they run and he didn't fold any over. It don't take much to ruin a radiator if your not careful. I think the truck runs better since it can actually get some air threw the intercooler. I'm going to take the 02 and do the same with it. It has 98,000 miles on it but I bet the radiator is partially plugged on it too.

If you use you truck in a off road conditions your going to need to follow Buckshot's link...
(NOTE : There is a typo Blue line is my design and RED is the under side design...)
Because running straight down will cause oil to pour out that bottle and you can lose enough oil to cause engine damage as pointed out in the TSB...

But here is my setup and its just like Buckshot...(unpainted to show for pics but mine is gloss black to match the valve cover)...
