Fuel Pressure issues
First welcome

You can leave your pump in the tank if you install a Vulcan Performance Draw Straw 2:
Draw Straw II 1/2 in. draw tube and 1/2 in. pushlock fitting
Get in touch with Vulcan Performance and they will sell you everything you need to bypass the intank pump.

It replaces the in tank pump with a module fitting so all the connections happening the module. Still 1/2" throughout, but no low tank issues! The hardest part of the install is removing the old pump, but we have been overwhelmed with the positive response! You do not use the filler neck return as you now return right into the bucket. We just installed one in a retrofit module about a week ago. Cut the HPFP noise by about 30%.
And yes, we're close to releasing the '94-'04 fittings as well. These will be for standard modules. We are just testing new hose. All the hard parts have been machined.
Remember, we have all the FASS and Pureflow (AIrDog/ Raptor) products as well! So save on shipping expenses by buying it all at once!

I cured my fuel pressure problems with an AirDog, Draw Straw, and 1/2" hose all the way. Pressure is a constant 14-16 no matter if at idle or WOT. I had an intank pump which we yanked out and found a stock fuel module I got free from a dealership.

I put my Raptor 100 on and it is adjustable and when we started it up the fuel pressure was pushin 40...needless to say we turned it down and at idle it's at 19-20 and WOT never drops it below 14-15 psi. I do have a question for anyone who reads this. I installed the raptor on my truck and bypassed the in-tank pump with a drawstraw, would it be possible to hook up the in-tank pump with the new raptor? Would it be beneficial or just a waste of time and energy. I've read about the FASS pumps failing and I worry about failure from my raptor and was hoping that the little in-tank pump might be somewhat of a back up...
Don't touch the pump in the tank, unless you like the work, and you want to remove it.
It won't save your 44. Over on Geno's site he had some encouraging words about the new pumps for replacement with a special design that would allow the fuel to still reach the injection pump in failure, but do you want to trust them? . . . these our the same guys who gave us the inadequate pumps. I would not trust them twice.
Fass has a newer pump with a single filter for both fuel and water that runs less than the bigger systems. You still probably need to buy the larger fuel line kit to be safe so you save a little , but not much. It is more compact and quieter than their older systems. If you aren't going much past stock it is more than good enough. If you are going to modify, you need the 150gph unit. other wise 95gph is fine.
