oil leaking from transmission
hello guys i have an issue with my transmission leaking gear oil, 5 speed standard, cant really tell where its coming from . the clutch was changed a while ago. i noticed oil on the driveway yesterday. slide under and oil was dripping not a lot but still slow drip like1 drip every 5 min. never the less the . where the transmission bolts up to the transfercase, if the seal wasnt any good could gear oil make its way thru there . tightened everything nothing was very loose. looked like a little bit was coming down the drivers side towards the top of the transmission. couldnt real see anything . is there a die a guy can get to see where its leaking from. has anyone had this problem before. help i need my truck running with no leaks, summer is coming and i dont need to be leaking gear oil were ever i park.

did you take the transfer case apart from the tranny when replacing the clutch?? ON the 241 and Nv4500, both have seals where the shaft meets to the t-case, if one of those is bad, itll cause that leak. only way to fix it is to pull the t-case and replace the seals. autozone and o-riellys both sale an ultraviolet dye but if is dripping all over the place, its not going to help you much.
