Default Edge box

I have taken a edge additude off of a 01 dodge. Iam putting it on a 99 dodge, but I have a problem. I got everthing hooked up. there is one hook up I cant find. it is a triangle shape plug. it plugs in around the fuel filter. now the 01 was a 5spd. and the 99 is a auto. what is this plug. does it matter if it is plugged in.

The plug is you MAP sensor, its plugged in behind the fuel filter to the side of the intake manifold. At least thats where it was on my 99. It MUST be plugged in, otherwise you won't make much power and/or you'll throw an over boost code.

you aint gonna find it, your gonna have to get an adapter...the 99's map sensor is a little round plug not the triangular variety like the 01

You will have to send it back to Edge. They dont make a harness to change it over. They only make one to change it from a 01 to an 02.

The 99 is round on the outside, but the plug itself is a 3 pin triangular shape, at least thats what I would call it. Its 2 pins on the bottom, one on the top. The Edge I installed on my buddies 01 came with all 3 plugs, just had to use the right one to plug into his truck.

Well I found out what it was. it was the data link plug I was looking for. On the 99 the plug is in the front of the engine. the 01 the plug is around the map sensor. The 01 is the one you have to have the adapter not the 99. Everything plug right in.
