P1693 is a companion code. DTC Detected In ECM

OBD-II Trouble Code: P0500 Vehicle Speed Sensor Malfunction

Did you let the key trick run the whole cycle??? After it says done the first time it still has another computer to read through, it should read the p-pcu and the p- ecu I believe. I believe the 1693 is a generic code meaning the other system has a code in it, if I'm wrong some one please corect me I believe that's what I just read

Output shaft speed sensor has failed most likely. Check the pids for speed sensors on the truck. It will be obvious which has failed.

Why wouldn't it just say that in the codes list instead of just say its a generic and the other computer has to have one in it??? Just curious

99% of these failures are speed sensor related. I vote he has a speed sensor code present, the 1693 is possibly a result of another code stored in the ecm. Regardless a code isn't a proof the sensor has failed anyway. Would you like the proper sequence for diagnosing this failure?
