I don't know much about the Adrenaline, but does it defuel when EGT's reach or surpass 1200?? I read that if the APPS is out of adjustment, EGT's will be a little higher than normal.

 

It defuels when EGTs reach 1200. But at the time the engine was randomly dying I didn't have a defueling point set, what I mean is it didn't make any difference with the defuel set or not. When it dies it won't start back up right away, I have to let it sit for a few minutes. This is what gives me the indication that the VP44 is overheating because of a lack of fuel due to a bad lift pump. Am I correct in assuming this? I know there's probably no way to be sure until I test the fuel pressure.

 

Now you created a new problem by doing this... How about the idle validation switches inside the APPS Sensor? Now its showing off idle all the time and still will cause error codes and other problems...

This adjust will not fix a wore out APPS... Once the APPS is wore out there is nearly no way to hit the voltage mark and most of the time if you check it a day or two later it off the mark again...

Just replace the sensor... There is no short cuts in life bud...

 

I didn't know adjusting it would cause problems but yeah I do need to get another one. I tested my fuel pressure and I've got 14-15psi at idle and about the same at WOT on stock. But when I turn my adrenaline up to just level 2 and lay on it my pressure drops to 4psi...too low. Looks like I'll be upgrading my lift pump

 

AirDog or FASS will fix that problem quick...

 

right on being a college kid makes the budget tight so I may shoot for a raptor, but I want bigger lines all the way into the IP so I need to find out if the raptor replaces all fuel lines or just up to the fuel filter housing. I would like to eliminate the problem completely

 

just save a little longer or borrow some cash and get the added filtration and protection.

 

Like me I was trying to hold out for a Raptor and kept reading about the added filters and water separators. I ask good ol' Mom for a loan and got the AirDog 150. Yeah the Raptor is much cheaper but you going to put un-due stress on it being there is no filter ahead of it. Plus the AirDog 100 or 150 both have the Air Separator included where the Raptor is just a pump...

But I would suggest the AirDog 100 or 150... Or FASS 100 or 150... Its worth it.

 

i took out a loan when my truck went south and bought a new vp and an airdog 100. then i bombed the vp and had to buy one out of pocket. That really hurt out pocket book. The wife was not working and we just got married and we just moved her down to ga. So i know the feeling. Tight is tight.
