2 WD LEVELING KIT HELP!!!!!
HEY GUYS,
I'M NEW TO THIS FORUM, AND ALREADY ASKING FOR HELP.
I ORDERED A 2 WD LEVELING KIT FOR MY TRUCK FROM FAT BOBS AND PAID A GUY TO INSTALL IT. HE SAID THAT THE SPACER COULD NOT BE INSTALLED W/O EXTENDED UPPER CONTROL ARMS. FROM WHAT I HAVE READ ON OTHER FORUMS THIS DOES NOT BECOME A PROBLEM UNTIL YOU GO 2.5" OR HIGHER.
DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS PROCEDURE, IF SO COULD YOU HELP ME OUT
THANX

I don't have any experience with 2wd kits but from the destructions I found it looks like you will be fine if you have the 2" or less system. The guy probably just doesnt wanna do it find a new shop.

2" spacers are fine. I did mine with 2" over stock springs and they worked without control arms or spindle replacement; however, you'll have issues with alignment. I can no longer get my caster into adjustment. The shop I use is one of the best around (been using them for 25 years) and the owner told me that I should get the front end checked regularly to maintain the maxed out specs. His opinion is that a spindle replacement is in order to make it work properly ... unfortunately, nobody makes one!
