Default trouble in paradise

while driving, my accelerator pedal suddenly loses control of throttle. clutch in, key off, key back on, restarts easily---accelerator pedal regains control of throttle. could this be problem with pump or throttle sensor? (2000 cummings 3500, 4wd, 5 spd manual. Tanks

Sounds like dead pedal. Sometimes means that your VP44 is going south.

I had the same thing happen to me a few months ago. Try resetting the APPS, that fixed it for me.

If it turns out your APPS is bad, give AOL.com - Welcome to AOL a try. He is making up some replacements and they have had very good reviews on TDR & DTR. Plus they are way cheaper than dealer replacements.

Somehow in my last reply, the website didn"t come out right. I"ll try again. Timbom1976@aol.

Whitmore, where are you in Wyoming? I think I might've broken down in your neck of the woods this week. I was moving from Seattle to South Carolina cuz that's where I'm gettin stationed. Long story short, I lost my #5 injector line.
