Hello all...I got a couple codes showing...P1693 and P0128...I looked up 1693 and says "DTC Detected in ECM or PCM" what does this mean?? I looked up 0128 and says "ECT below Thermostat Regulating Temp"...does this one mean I need a new thermostat?? I have seen the coolant temp on gauge not moving as far as it used too...it stays cooler than before...any help in deciphering this would be great...Thank you in advance.

P1693 is there because P0128 showed up.. I think it's called a companion code.

P0128 sounds like a thermostat to me, but definitely wait for others to speak up...

 

If the temp has been cooler than normal, I'd look at the t-stat. More than likely it's sticking open.
