Default Heater/ defroster not working

Since I bought my truck I knew my heater didn't work well and now it doesn't work at all and it's been cold and rainy down here and today I had to pull over to clean my windshield off because of how bad it got a/C works amazing ice cold but leaks water on passenger floor any ideas as to what it could be or what I could do to fix it? And advice is appreciated thanks!

Is your heater core hooked up? I wouldn't doubt that its either been bypassed or its clogged.

How could I test to make sure it's my heater core before I buy one?

Does your windshield fog up in the summer time? Do you smell antifreeze? Is there a wet spot on the passenger side floor? If any of those are answered as yes it could be your heater core.
