Default No oil pressure after cooler install

Hey guys I just brought my 02 5.9 to a diesel shop to have the oil cooler replaced due to oil in my coolant. They replaced my oil cooler, flushed the block and replaced the radiator. I picked up the truck and noticed about a mile down the road I had no oil pressure @idle but would jump up @ aprox 1500 rpm. I hooked my mechanical test gauge and it showed 0 @idle and about 20 @ 1500. I called the owner of the shop and he is adimate that I now need bearings also. I am having a hard time believing that the bearings went out while it was in the shop. Is there anything they could have f-ed up that would be causing my issue or is he right and I need bearings? Thinking I should have just did it myself
