You could but I wouldn't. You run the risk of water hammer from the VP damaging the gauge. Most run the fuel pressure gauge off the fuel filter housing. Also it may be beneficial to upgrade your stock lines to the big line kit from fass. If you do that you can mount it in the line with a push lock fitting. Also you will need a snubber and needle valve to help steady out and keep you gauge from getting damaged.

Tx again gh0stman...I already have the gauge and snubber etc so I will mount to the bottom of the fuel filter and leave the test port as is...valuable info and I thank you.

Go to genosgarage.com. They have printed directions with photos which will be most helpful to you. I installed a FASS DDRP lift pump to replace the OEM Carter LP. five years ago and hold a solid seventeen pounds fuel pressure at wot.

Holy Smokes...I would love to have your setup but alas I'm retired and don't work anymore so had to opt for the weak Carter pump...Tx for your reply and good info.

The FASS I am speaking of costs 249.85$ possibly less and will pump 30% more fuel which will keep the vp44 cool. I am also retired but figured replacing the lp one time was the best way to go. Good luck, whatever you do.

Oh yes, I looked at that one...thing is it bolts to the frame and I have an in-tank lift pump so I would also have to buy a draw straw or sump to go with it + pay for the install...Tx though.
