Default need new fuel gauge motor surging at 70

Hi all looking to buy a new fuel gauge, I have a glow shift junk on now and have a surging at high speed My turbo is pulsing. But my fuel gauge is not working and thinking I better replace it before I start replacing things. I did have the auto trans rebuilt last fall. and added a chip for towing right now it is set for economy. all I can find is electric gauges for this truck. is there anything that is not electric that is affordable, and any ideas why I am surging would be great, it is not showing any cods..

thanks Mike

IMO its easier and safer to run a sender unit at the fuel source and wires into the cab. I use an autometer with a snubber/sender at the fuel pump. Geno's has them advertised today on the site.

ISSOPRO is the other gauge most people use. They are both high quality.

I ordered a ISSOPRO will be here in a couple days,

I was having a steady surge in the motor you could feel it and it showed in the turbo, but not in the tack or speedometer
I reset the Edge EVO back to factory and don't have the surging the turbo is steady. less the fuel gauge any ideas why it is showing with the Edge,...???

thanks mike

ok been looking all night. the code p1694 is a Nox sensor , aftertretment outlet sensor data erratic , intermittent, or incorrect.

so I am thinking that the edge economy setting is incorrect. any opinions from someone that knows a little more then Me would be great..

Ok, got the new fuel pressure gauge and it is steady at 14lbs. drops to 10lbs at 70 and holds steady.so don't think it is anything to do with fuel..?? with out the Edge hooked up the turbo is steady, so I am back to thinking it is the Edge. think I am going to give them a call??? lets what happens...???

so,,, I talked to a Edge tec. about the surging and I was told this is a common thing with the older Dodge's and there is no way to correct it..? He suggested the performance mod. so we will give that a try. we are going on a short trip across Iowa and back I will let you know how it works when we get back...!!!
At least we know there is nothing bad going on with the motor..
