Ok just started having the issues a month or so ago. I bought the kit for the harness that adds the resistor and that actually fixed it for a couple days and I mean it was perfect. But one morning I started the truck and it had a mind of its own and was randomly reviing itself up and idle high. So bought a new sensor and just put it on today and reset it after I was done and it's still doing the same thing.

 

Just tried to reset the apps again and as I was moving the pedel slowly during the reset process my check engine light came on. Used my smarty to read the code and had an idle validation both low come up. What can I do from here.

 

you need to check your AC noise, ( your alternator) check that/ bench test it. have you replaced you APPS? you shouldn't ever have to reset it.
