Default Diablo power puck

I found a diablo power puck in the back seat of the old feed truck at work. The guy I work with had bought it a long time ago and never installed it on his truck. His is an 01 and the puck was made for an 02. When I tried to install it for him the connectors were different. Since a friend of mine has just bought an 02 and ,the puck owner was agreeable, we decided to install it on his truck. We put it on today and it made the truck run worse. He said it wouldn't build any boost and was way down on power. Any ideas why this would be and what to do to fix it?

I personally would pull it off the truck with no supporting mods. He will need a better than stock lift pump. Fuel pressure gauge. And potentially a mild trans upgrade. Not trying to rain on his parade but I don't think he feels like buying a new VP44 and a trans.

I also noticed DiabloSport Does not offer this programmer for sale anymore. I would assume there also will be limited to no customer support as well.

The truck is a 6 speed so the transmission should be fine. Will the stock lift pump not provide enough fuel for this puck even if he's not running it hard? The truck is a welding rig so he was wanting a little bump in power to help with the weight and for when he tows. He had a 94 that he should have kept. He went from it to a 2012 dodge and then a 2013 ford 6.7. After it quit him the last time he swapped it for this 02. It's only got 204,000 miles on it.

The stock lift pump doesn't really provide enough pressure for a stock truck. If he could he should sell it. I think a edge ez would be perfect for his application. Not crazy hp, but not stock either. That and a set of RV275's and he probably couldn't tell he has a load.

They are injectors out of an Recreational Vehicle also equipped with the Cummins 5.9 engine. Roughly jumps the hp to 275. With a small tuner, 65hp, that combo would be a nice comfortable safe setup.
