Just did an engine swap in my 2001 (late 2000) dodge 2500
reason for it was I toasted the original engine

Anyway.... i'm not too savvy when it comes to diesel engines so i'm wondering what
might be the issue here....the 99 truck that the engine came out of, the tach. was working,
as was the one in my truck...now that the engine is in my truck the only time my tach. works is when I start it up, and only for about 2 seconds, then it drops down to nothing

truck seems to run fine other then that....no I don't race my truck or pull sleds with it so no I don't really need a tach but I really would like it to work....like I said other then this my truck runs just fine now
