injector questions
Alright everyone I need some info. I daily drive a 98.5 24valve with with stock charger and stock vp44. But I'm running 150 air dog and smarty programmer on 9. I want to install bigger injectors and I need to know what's to best injector for what I'm trying to achieve. I'm planning on upgrading my charger later so I'm not scared to run a large injector in the mean time. But I'm not planning on changing piston head design so I need something geared toward the stock piston head. Just need to know the best bang for my buck as far as number of holes, hole size, spray pattern, and spray angle. If anyone has any info I'd greatly appreciate it thanks

I would go with some 100's and talk to Jkidd at Diesel Auto Power on the forum here just for the fact that real person tech support is only a call or thread away. He can give you some details on nozzle hole size, extrude honing, pintel pressure, orifice size, and give you a good idea what will match your application.

Well it was almost a simple fix but didn't get that lucky. The plug on my lift pump came loose and shorted so my air dog stopped pumping fuel causing my injection pump to get nothing but air and screwed the timing of it up causing my truck to back fire like crazy not to mention completely blowing a huge Crack in the injection pump and fuel just pours out. So needless to say I fixed the cause of everything but unfortunately I have to replace the damage. But I'm upgrading to the hotrod vp44 150 sticks and I've had a wicked wheel for awhile just not time to install it so I'll be busy this weekend when the FedEx man shows up

Have you dont any upgrades to the transmission? If not I would to that before getting injectors or a turbo. But as for answering your question above. I run 7x0.010 VCO's from DAP and they run perfectly with the stock HX35. Dont have any issues with heat and the mileage has also gone up as well.
I would skip the HRVP. I would get another SOVP and call it a day. The HRVP has timing added into it and with the smarty you might end up with to much timing. You will make more power with the SOVP and save money in the long run.

Well first I want to thank everyone for all the information. Unfortunately I didn't see the post about to much timing with a hotrod pump and I bought it. But I did get everything installed including a wicked wheel that I've had laying around for awhile. Since I have the hotrod pump I need to know what catcher setting I should have my programmer set on and if 100 or 150 sticks would suit me better. I'm actually shooting for the 500 horse daily driver and pull at the local fairs maybe. As far as transmission goes I have a nv5600 with duel disc southbend.

Run your smarty on evens I believe. Or which ever do no add timing.
As for injectors, for just bouncing around town and doing normal vehicle things I would say the 150's. However, If you are going to sled pull with a stock turbo I wouldn't recommend anything that big unless you also upgraded the turbo too.
