I have a 01 cummins 2wd auto... it's hard to start and when it does it with run for 15 seconds and die

truck still wont run after new injecter pump and lift pump. the code it is showing is no communication from injecter pump to ecm, I check the harness and I have a data link - and a data link + they are both showing grounds, so I ran both wires from the injecter pump the the computer and they are still showing both grounds

hows your batteries? Any mods or stock?
here are some schematics maybe a bad connection at the IP or ECM. Mine died the other day and I wiggle checked the IP harness and it fired back up.

thanks for the reply the battery's are a little weak but I have my charger on it when I try and start it and I put it on boost at that time.. truck is completely stock other than straight piped, I seems as though my injection pump isn't kicking on it. when trying to start it takes a while to fire up and when it does it dies and after a couple of times of doing so it will start and run for about 15-20 sec
