Something to think about here is the registration of your truck. Each state is different on how they handle it but without going through the Secretary of State and getting your truck re-titled as a 1 ton, leagally speaking you will still have the weight limit's of a 3/4 ton. By adding the dually rear end you will be adding more to the weight of the truck itself thus lowering your hauling capacity. So the transition will strictly be for looks without re-titleing it. In Illinois this process is a nightmare as it is in most states. This is not something they like to do because it opens the state up to liability if something happens and is attributed to the increase in weight limit.

No wars here, we just like to know the real stories no matter how wrong I may be. I'm wrong quit a bit and all for bein corrected when I am.
