Default Cant figure it out

I have an 02 3500 cummins dually.since back in the day when it was under warranty, it has had this issue that nobody can figure out. At first, when the truck would hit 1400rpm and 49mph at the same time, acceleration would lock. I could push the pedal to the floor and it would do nothing. I would need to drop below 1000rpm, and then gun it to blow past whatever was hanging it up. Brought it to dodge, they said it was the valve body in the tranny, and they replaced it. No change, so they replaced it again, and nothing. Since their people are useless, i've had quite a few other shops look at it with no answers. The problem evolved, now when it hits the 1400rpm, 49mph interval, it bucks, revving up and down, almost as if its trying to shift but cant. Last year, i noticed my battery cables were getting some corrosion, so i completely changed them, but the clamps were a bit too big and werent on tight. Problem solved for more than 6 months, then it started again. I finally got the right size clamps and switched them. Problem solved again for three weeks, now its doing it again. Gonna find and clean all the grounds this week, and see what happens. Anybody have an issue like this, or some suggestions?

sounds like its running out of fuel or the APPS has a dead spot in it.

Any codes?

Whats your fuel pressure? I had a similar problem to mine and finally got sick of it and sold the transmission and dropped in a manual. And had no problems since.

Thanks for the feedback fellas. Throwing no codes. Fuel pressure is fine, replaced the vp44 and the lift pump last year. I originally thought it was a fuel problem, but when changing the battery cables eliminated the problem for 6 months, im convinced its some sort of electrical, computer, or sensor issue.

Try checking your alternator for AC noise. There is a good write up on Mopar1973mans site.
