Default Tips, tricks and ideas on a 24v build

I have a 99 24v 53 long block that's coming out. I have another motor purchased but I wanna build it. This is going To be a weekend warrior/ show truck. So I'm looking to build something a little over the top. Any tips, ideas and must haves would be appreciated

What do you have for a fuel system, Transmission, Power levels in mind? What happened to the 53 block? Did it crack?

Based on the idea you posted at face value, I would put 150 hp injectors with a 63/68/14 turbo. Build the transmission if auto to hold 600-700 hp, or get a dual disc with upgraded input shaft. There are a million different ways to move forward on this project. But not knowing where you want to be and what your current setup is is difficult to give you a good direction.

The 53 block is cracked. As far as what is already done, 150 injectors, edge tuner, tranny has already been done, and a fuel pump. I'm unaware of what fuel pump.

I keep seeing ppump conversion talk but idk if I wanna get into that. What kind of hp can a vp44 hold?

As far as what I want, I'm wanting more then your average joe.

VP can hold, I believe, 600-700 hp on fuel. But getting there on just fuel is very difficult. Most top out at about 600+. I wouldn't Ppump it. You loose tune on the fly. And trying to drive a high hp truck as a DD will be difficult as its not very streetable.

It's not gonna be a dd truck. Weekend and show truck. I just thought since I have the next motor out and sitting, that some internal work may be helpful. Port an polish? Pistons? Cam? Bigger fuel lines? And what's the best way to determine what turbo I should run?

What hp are you wanting to reach? Is it going to be a drag truck? If yes the p-pump would a good choice.
