Default 24v vp-44 help with fixing circuit board

Hi I'm new to this site and am having trouble figuring out how to repair my vp-44 circuit board. I read a forum about it but I was wondering more about it. My truck is a 98.5 and I have dead pedal issues. Please help

You sure it's the vp? I had the same issue but it was my apps. Are you getting any codes?

I bought a new apps at autozone and put on and doing that is actually what made my check engine light come on, before installing my truck would have no power when cold then would warm up and take off.now I get dead pedal throughout driving and several codes at times like p0122,p0123 and others but don't remember at moment. Thank u for responding

Did you buy just the sensor? Or the whole bell crank assembly? Did you program the sensor to the truck when you installed it? Hope these questions don't offend you, just making sure to cover the bases.

Do you still have your old one available?

The one from autozone was just the sensor, I installed and did the throttle slowly down then back again? That's all I tryed and I put old one back in but it now acts worse? And I appreciate any help

You have to adjust the voltage on them and then do the throttle thing a few times. I would try a reset on your old one and see if that helps. Instructions on this link:

If this fixes your problem, then its the apps. Or it was for me anyway. I can shoot you a pm on some better places to buy a new apps sensor if it turns out to be that. Sure hope it is, as its obviously the cheaper fix.

In the meantime, maybe some of the more experienced will chime in here. You may want to post the stats on your truck while you wait. Mileage? Mods? Any other noticeable problems from the truck leading up to the dead pedal?

Have you tried disabling the edge, I was also wondering if you see anything abnormal on the gauges? high temps or fp low maybe?

How do u disable it? And does it hurt anything doing that? No abnormal readings that I'm aware of, about 17psi fuel, normal temp and egts
