looking to upgrade exaust

Default looking to upgrade exaust

just looking for some input, Its time to change out the factory exaust on my 01 cummins, Engine is stock with the exception of upgraded fuel system. I don't mind it to be on the loud side, but really don't want to here it to much in the cab unless I really get on it. I was wondering if I should go with 4 or 5 inch, and is stainless really necessary, and should I just delete the muffler?Any input or great deals out there, let me know, also might change out facory air box at the same time,

Go 4 inch. You really don't need 5 inch. Either way you go you are going to get choked down by the turbo. I went with a diamond eye 4 inch tbe duals. The incab noise isn't bad I can hear it, but not as loud as the motor and I have no muffler. As for aluminum vs stainless, from what I hear they rust about the same on these trucks. Might as well save you some money.

I have a 5" Expandit kit with no muffler on my truck, 02 quad cab 4x4. It's just flat loud and when towing its even louder in the cab.
I went 5" because I wanted the deeper tone. You cannot have a conversation next to my truck if its running. When in the cab you have to speak up to hear each other.

Make sure you check with vendors on here, the few guys I have dealt with for parts have been hands down the best, customer service and price.
