Default transmision slips after fluid change

I changed my trans fluid, filter, and adjusted the bands. the truck drove fine for a couple of weeks now it slips from first to second. it only does this when I first take off. by my third stop sign it is fine and does not slip. is there a screen in the trans that could be getting blocked and where is it. thanks for taking the time to read this any help is appreciated.

Have you replaced the fluid regularly? I've heard it's not agood thing once it's been in thereafter a certain period. I personally have blown a trans up because of doing afluid swap because it was already way past the interval. Apparently it's got something to do with the viscosity and deposits it's collected over time and how the new fluid changes all of that. Don't quote me on any of that, just some things I've heard over time from multiple folks.
