I in stalled 2 new alternators, batteries are good, when I start the truck it is only making around 10+v then very slowly climbs to 14+v. grid heater cycles 10 to 14v, after it stops it stays at 14+v. I had it tested they told me it was the voltage reg
this sound right...???

also what is the ECM? and where is it located could this be my problem??

 

The ECM is located right behind the airbox on the passenger side.

 

I thought that was normal while the grid heater was staying on...

 

Did some checking, it is. We are not in the cold most the time. so I never seen it before. and the people a O,Riellys did not take it into account eather. lurning something all the time. thanks for the help...
