Ok i like the attitude with juice myself and if i had the budget i would get it but the smarty s-03 is more in my range i just want to double check that my stock clutch will not go if i try to spin a wheel every now and then and pull about 9,000lbs occasionally with the smarty s-03.

There is no guarantee that it won't do that. Driving behavior play a big part in the equation as well. The Smarty on a lower setting should work very well for you, just watch the right foot.

I'm running the edge comp box on my 01. I like how adjustable it is, can run from +40hp all the way up to +120hp. It'll smoke if you want it to, just depends on how you set it.

Im more worried about my clutch not being able to hold the power than the black smoke. But replying back to RAW so i should be able to run the smarty as long as i dont use the highest setting and watch on how hard i drive it correct?

To my understanding, all the setting have the same power output. The higher the setting, the quicker it makes full power. So a lower setting will be easier to control, and your pedal to be less touchy. I found my 2001 to be unbearably touchy with the Smarty on 9. Level 3 was nice. Good power, not too touchy, and easy to control. You should be fine with a lower setting and stock clutch.

On a side not, a buddy ran a stock clutch for months with his 2000 5 speed, and he had an Edge Juice with Attitude. It wasn't until he really pinned it hard that it slipped.

And another question do i need to be cautious of egt's? Im planning to run a 4inch turbo back magnaflow to a 7 inch tip before installing the smarty.

Yes, you always need to be cautious. Towing with a tune will cause higher EGT's. Only way to tell if your int he danger zone or not is with a gauge. Having a 2001 6-speed, you should have the HX35. There are a handful of cheap, easy ways to get more boost out of them to help combat EGT's.
