Block->front cover gasket, Book time?
I need to do a block to front cover gasket on a '99... trying to quote a price for a guy, I know it's a helluva job, I'm figuring on 12 hours, but I wouldn't doubt it could be 16.
Here's what I know has to come off..
valve covers, rockers, pushrods, Injector pump, harmonic balancer, fan hub, power steering and vacuum pump, AC condenser, intercooler, radiator, the cam, and then I think I can finally pull that cover off... What are the chances of breaking the oil pan cover? am I going to have to futz with that darned thing too?
Is there anything else that's highly recommended to change while I'm that far in? Other than putting a stg 3 cam in it.
