Default new vp44 , shrader valve and gauge question

new vp44 , shrader valve and gauge question

i am replacing my vp44 tomorrow
and since it took every dime i had
i am compiling a shopping list
air brake line
mechanical gauge
needle valve
a couple of flare fittings of some sort
but i do have a question
cant i just go off the shrader valve on the vp44 for my gauge without removing the guts of that valve?
it seems like if i ever wanted to verify the accuracy of my gauge i simply remove the connection on the shrader and connect my test gauge?
i have been reading on this website for 2 weeks trying to find the answers to my questions.
so please dont think i am simply being lazy
stupid yes
lazy no

You can get a banjo bolt to mount your pressure gauge.

i figured it out
tapped TORK TEK snubber bolt goes on the input of the vp44 with a needle valve (in case of leaks) then run the air brake tubing to gauge
