you may try popping off that cover in the corner of the door. Most likely if it had regular mirrors before the tow mirrors, with the other power options. I'd be willing to bet it had power mirrors before. Both my trucks that had p/w and locks had the power mirrors as well.
OR if you don't wanna take that off, You can take the vin number to the dealer, they can look it up see what options it had.

You should be able to get the factory replacement tow mirrors that are power/heated. They cost a pretty good sum more though. I've got a set of non power tow mirrors. I hate them because if your by yourself and need a mirror adjustment. Well you know what I mean.. I'm going to order these. 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 Truck Power Heated Towing Black Mirror Pair at 1AAuto.com

What you can do too is , call the dealer with your VIN # and ask them what features your mirrors came with from the factory.

I could then match a set of tows up for you if you wanted to see what we had.

I was looking into those too Barryb mainly for the same reason as you said I hate trying to adjust the manual ones and my fiancé broke my passenger one pushing on it one day when it was in the negatives here so now I have screws holding the glass in place otherwise the mirror flops down and looks at the ground I looked into the ones with blinkers in them too but they don't fold to a full 90 degrees so I think that would drive me crazy

Also Tony I popped both corners and found out the doors are wired for mirrors I just need the adjuster switch and the heater button hvac controller

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

Oh and of course the mirrors them selves
