it should have a couple different springs. Once you install it, and don't like the pressure your getting, swap it out with the heavier spring.. Its where the return line goes into the block on the pump. Mine runs between 16-18 on mine at idle. about 15 WOT.

for the airdog 2 165 its one spring, a collar nut you back off and use a flat head screw driver to increase pressure is clockwise to decrease pressure counter-clockwise. then retighten collar nut. i'd post a picture but it won't let me.

unless they changed the style in the last year and a half for the 2.

There is no power gain seen by increasing the pressure above 15 as long as it's sustainable. Anything above 17 increases the chances of a hard start and some pump builders swear by the fact exceeding 18psi can cause damage. Not sure about that but know for a fact high pressure will cause hard starts.

I have a 98.5 Cummins and i installed cts edge jwa that's the only mods I have done for now. My goal is 450hp. My question is with it turned up shouldn't it blow a little black smoke. Fuel psi is 14 at idle and drops to 7psi at wot. Does it need more fuel ? Im thinking of the air dog 2 165. Would like to know how it works with the stock fuel filter or with out it.
