Why does my 2000 24V Cummins not exhilarate past 30mph???

Default Why does my 2000 24V Cummins not exhilarate past 30mph???

HELP!!!

I cant get my rig to go more then 30mph and I've changed my filters etc. what can be causing this? Any and all feedback is appreciated.

might end up being your tranny.. how did your tranny fluid smell and look?

oil is perfect where it needs to be think its tension pulley

have you hooked a scanner up to it?. could even be a lift pump not getting adequate pressure. if it was a tension pulley pulley going bad youd probably see more signs, it'd be harder to start, truck would overheat, power steering would slowly go out.

Tensioner pulley won't cause acceleration issues. Think I'd start with fuel pressure, dtc's, get some boost numbers and graph the apps. The tensioner pulley may be loosing a bearing. You might loose engine cooling, ac and charging system but power steering won't be effected

we had one do this, but it would be ok once it warmed up and if you turned it off and back on. replaced injection pump and its all good.
