Return Fuel Line Leak ?
Anyone had the Return line leak at the fitting above the Bell Housing , ive been chasing a leak and think i found it it was a little loose , at the fitting where it converts from the steel to plastic line
:humm: |
There's a Banjo bolt up on the back of the block that feeds the return line. I'd bet on that bolt bein lose. It's hard to see but if you lay across the engine with your feet on the passenger side you can get to it the easiest.

I drew you a picture , this is what im looking at , Why does the return go back into the engine ? whats the deal right here ?
|
it dont go back to the motor.......that is excess fuel left over from the nozzles that is comming from the back of the head into a "T" where the VP return ties in then they both head to the tank from there

Well i think mines jacked up if tightening didnt fix it
|
its low pressure so no biggie on re-doing it man
|
I wonder if i could just replace it with some regular fuel line
|
I replaced all of mine with regular high pressure hose just like the supply lines. I still have that Banjo bolt in there cause I couldn't get a fitting screwed in and get a hose over it. My hands just wouldn't fit to do it. But if yours is like mine I had to pull the bolt and put new seal washers on it cause they were shot from all the years.

I have some of the washers ill see if it stops with the tightening if not ill take it apart some how
|
The only way I have found to get to it is to litterally lay across the engine from the passenger side with an open end wrench and reach back there.
