truck wont start

My 2000 Dodge Ram 5.9 4wd wont start. turn the key everything lights up just like it should, turn the key to start it and nothing. Almost like its in gear or something, just will not crank.. Please help!!

Check fuses in the dash and under the hood. If all good try swaping the starter relay with the horn relay.

Thanks, but that didnt help. I lightly hit the starter and what do you know fired off!! Thanks again

sounds like the starter is going bad if you gave it a whack and it started...
