What do I stand to gain with a boost elbow? Will I wear my motor faster? Will it change hp/tq and what about my mpg ?

 

If your 2001 is an automatic a boost elbow will not work because you have a hy35 turbo. To use a boost elbow you need a hx35 turbo. A boost elbow will let you build more psi if you have a boost fooler installed or a chip that does boost fooling such as edge juice or quad adrenaline. It will not hurt the motor but if you have enough supporting mods it is possible to damage a stock turbo.

 

I've got the 6 Spd manual. I guess that should be in my sig. I've got a edge ez chip +65 hp. I'm not sure if it does any thing for the turbo. I kind of doubt it tho.

you may see some extra power, but mostly you need more fuel to match it.
