Just wanted to pass on a recent issue and fix that I ran into. I've got a rebuilt 47RE with double disc converter and HD shift kit, also running the Banks Big Hoss tuner. About a month ago I started my truck shifted into drive and it was in 3rd gear, could manually shift down to 2nd but that was it. Let it sit a few hours started it up again, shifted with no issue. Drove a few more times and the issue woud come and go, never while driving either it did it when I started or it didn't. Took it to transmission shop (still under warranty) everything checked out. They said it was an electrical issue, this I knew. I pulled all the ECM connectors apart and hosed them with WD-40 including the 50 connector plug on the side of the block. Pulled a couple on the back fire wall, hosed them down, then lastly pulled the connectors off the Banks tuner and lubed them up with Dielectric grease. Final result; problem solved hasnt had a shift issue since.
