MISFIRE/ POP AT IDLE HELP
TRUCK HAS A SMALL MISFIRE/ POP WHEN THE TRUCK IS IDLING IN PARK AFTER IT IS WARMED UP AND DRIVE IT FOR A WHILE. IT DOES NOT HAPPEN ON A DAILY BASIS THOUGH. I DID GET A CODE FOR A CRANK SENSOR BUT HAVE NOT CHANGED IT. THE CEL IS NOT ON SO I HAVENT PAID MUCH ATTENTION TO IT EVEN THOUGH I PROBABLY SHOULD. CAN THE CPS CAUSE A MISFIRE IF ITS NOT FUNCTIONING RIGHT?

Well, I had the cps go on one of my gas cars and it ran like garbage. Changed it and it was OK. I would think that maybe it would act the same on a diesel. Not sure though. Relatively inexpensive part.
