No fault but still doesn't run
No run and no fault
So I'm looking at a 99 2wd auto with recent transwork new tires and a new lift pump the owner says it was driving down he highway and died then he had it towed to his house and there it has sat for the last 6 months batteries are dead as can be so I put other batteries in it to get it to crank. When I hook up a scanner there are no faults to read even after cranking ( I was hoping for something) so now I have a truck that I know ran like a champ right up till I didn't ( like most) but have no direction for trouble shooting. I would like to say its the injection pump since the lift pump was recently replaced but have no solid evidence pointing that direction otherwise. Any thing I can test? Wil a truck start and idle even with a bad tps? any help is appreciated

My truck did that. I ended up cracking a couple injection lines open and bled them. In a couple minutes the truck was running again. No codes, you can crank all day but truck will never start until air is out of the lines.
