24 valve horton fan clutch?
Does anyone know of anything I can do to get away from the factory viscous style clutch fan? My warm up times in winter are terrible and summer ac barely works in the city I'm looking for a clutch fan like the old horrors and electric fans at least one 2 speed Taurus fan can't seem to keep up with a 14k trailer on the back any advice is greatly appreciated!

Huh? I've got 212K on the clock and my factory OE fan clutch is working just fine. Super cold A/C (32-35*F out of the vent). Then engine coolant never exceeds 205*F worth then when the fan locks it pulls back down to 200*F and holds even towing my heavy trailer up 6-7% grade, with A/C going and Edge Comp on 5x5. What more can you ask for...

Maybe I need a new fan clutch? Truck only has 120k on her though and my biggest complaint is winter time warm up gotta drive about 10 miles before I'm at operating temp there's a guy in Arizona he's made a horton fan cluctch kit for the 24 valves its the same engine clutch fan setup up as the big semis use but the price is steep $1,100 I was hoping to use my extra cash on an exhaust brake
