Hey guys I just picked up a complete 98 v10 2500 reg cab with an nv4500 too do a swap in my 99. I got it home and noticed the transfer case says 241 dld not dhd like its suppose too. Did I get the normal nv4500 and transfer case? I know the hd model should have the hd case but it doesn't. I haven't pulled the case out yet too see if its a 29 spline. Is there any tags on the nv4500 indicating its the hd model? It's covered in grease haven't scraped it down yet. And if it turns out being a normal nv4500 would it be able too handle 450-500 hp?

I know my 2001 Dodge 2500 with a Cummins diesel came with a NV4500 trans and NV241 DLD from the factory. I suspect that it is normal for that combination to come together

 

Did you buy the truck new or knew for a fact it was all original? The truck I got has been around the block a few times so I really don't know the history on it.
