mine is leaking exactly like you're talking about. Mine is leaking from the pushrod cover. It's on the drivers side , behind the injection pump and the ECM on the block. I've been watching it for 2 weeks , can't take it anymore. I think the cover is cracked also. This thing is a real doll to get to. Might have to pull pump.

Default boy doesn't she leak!!

Especially when the back 1/3 of the cover came off when I pulled the ECM off the block. I'm sick of the leaking , tearing it down in the morning. I should be able to pick-up checks in the afternoon , if it goes well. Not counting on it though. Lucky is not my middle name

After fixing all the other problems on this truck I finally have it running well and just ant to finish up this last annoying problem.
My dodge was nice and clean/dry, no oil and now the front axel is covered with oil. I traced the oil to the front crank seal. Dealer is a total rip off. Good Luck.

Well got it fixed. it was not all that bad . The oil leak was definitely the cover gasket. I appreciate all of the great advice. I have only had this truck for 2 yrs. Had an 08 after i wrecked my 02. It was a spectacular event in Dallas . Thanks Ya'll

Default oil leak

what about your oil pressure sending unit, if you replaced the tappet cover gasket. or the oil line that goes to the pump in front of power steering pump. Or the oil pump itself. I didn't have any pressure problems. 280,000 and 65lbs on oil pressure. But there is always something comes up OR down.

Vacuum pump rebuild kit http://www.puredieselpower.com/catal...t-p-28675.html
Takes about 1 hour to reseal it. Can't believe dodge would try and sell someone a vacuum pump when there's a rebuild/reseal kit.
