are you a member on Cumminsforum? If so I think you should post it up there... more traffic than over here for an issue like you are having. Sorry I can't be more help.

No Comm between ECM and PCM sure sounds like an issue. Have you cleared the codes, and rechecked? I'll try to find a schematic that shows the CAN wires between the two.

I didn't clear the codes, and like an idiot, I took the code reader back to my buddy. Hopefully he's home when I hit his side of town later.

I unplugged my ECM last night for a bit and plugged it in, nothing changed. I talked to a guy that said he had the same issue and that was all he had to do to get it to fire up.. Not my case apparently.

did you mean injector pump?

the PCM just had the turbo overboost codes in it..

The P1693, just tells you that there's a code tripped in both the PCM and ECM.

P0234 could be bad wiring to throw that code. If it was in there twice, once is for an Active code, the other for a Stored could. It could also be stored in both Computers.

Yea idk how that code got thrown, truck is basically stock. I'm more worried about the 1689 than anything.
Ok, idk what to call it or what it is, but when I turn my key to cycle the intake heater, I used to hear a... "growl". from the engine area, now, I don't. That's why I'm leaning towards there being a blown fuse/relay or a bad wire somewhere..

Could that growl be the Raptor?

Nahh, I can hear the Raptor. It's been doing this since before I put the raptor on.. I want to say it sounds like something pressurizing.. but I'm not 100% sure.

I know that if I do hear it, I'm 99.99999% sure it'll fire

I can't think of anything that would growl under the hood, except a block mounted fuel pump. Unless it's something that has gone bad.

No flippin idea... I've got the frame mounted Raptor and I can hear it just fine.
It's done it from the day I bought it, until the day it died.. About 2 1/2 weeks ago now!

When you turn your key to cycle the intake heater, but not start it, you don't hear a sound like somethin pressurizing or somethin.. growling L0l

I'm going nuts just trying to figure out what that SOUND is, let alone what's wrong with my truck.

Just found this on a google search after 6451563 different sites.

P1689- Oil Pressure Control Solenoid Circuit Malfunction

P1693 Turbo Charge Control Circuit Malfunction
