replaced rear diff, quick e-brake question

Default replaced rear diff, quick e-brake question

replaced rear diff instead of disconecting e-brake cable undid the 4 big nuts and slid the plate off with cable still hooked up, now im wondering if its possible to install e-brake support plate backwards?? e-brake cable run on top or bottom on drive side ???

Both e brake cables are on the bottom of the backing plates
