You don't want to lock the waste gate open. You want it closed. If you locked it open the exhaust would bypass the turbo. To lock it closed you can buy a J hook that was made for your truck or you can get a turnbuckle from the hardware store. You probably won't see much more psi unless you add more fuel with either a programmer, tuner, or bigger injectors. But if you haven't already replaced the lift pump that should be at the top of your list of things to do.

X2, locking it open will make your truck a dog. Smokey, slow, poor mileage, just all bad.

Until you get some sort of boost fooler, be it a chip or a fooler, you won't get more than that. The ECU is programmed to cut fuel when it sees over 20/22 psi boost.

Like RAW said a quadzilla boost fooler and a turnbuckle to keep the gate closed. You might want to check craigslist and ebay for an edge juice or quad adrenaline. I've seen used ones sell cheap.

Am I reading your sig correctly that you have 41 inch tires on the truck? If so, that would be the reason your truck is slow. Your truck probably still has the stock 3.55 gears in the diff and with those tires that is going to bring your gear ratio to about 2.40 gears. So if you are planning on keeping those 41's you should probably look into putting at least 4.88 gears in both axles.

so... i was just looking at my turbo and ......there is one hose running to my oil filter coming from the top, and one running to the bottom of my turbo that gos to something on the side of my block. i am guessing that is for oil one going in and one going out

truck is auto 4x4

the thing that the turnbuckle, would hook to dont move its solid.

i guess it was already locked? i try to move the thing with my fingers it wont budge. it lags very bad on take off .

it does put out 22psi tops any other thing i can do to my turbo it does not say holset on the turbo

the ring is mia also

this truck wont even spin the tires on dirt its very sad ....but it does run good

If you cant move the wastegate arm, it is likely welded shut on the inside. A boost fooler will allow you to make more boost. It won't help you low end power though, it won't help power at all. If will allow for more boost, and cooler EGT's under WOT conditions.

The steel braided hose if the oil supply, and the tube below is return. This oil is used to lubricate the bushing and shaft in the turbo. The turbo can spin up to 100,000 RPM, sometimes more.

I don't think you're going to get any better off the line until you change your axle gearing or put smaller tires on. Just my opinion though.
