I have a 1998 Cummins Diesel. We have replaced the fuel pump, PCM, Got 12 V. everywhere. I have checked all relays and fuses, it has no lift pump and getting no power to the preheater, and it will not start. The wait light stays flashing.Any thoughts or ideas on what it could possibly be? Need help please!!!

 

Sounds like a power to the ECM issue. It cranks over, but will not fire, correct?

Any codes?

 

We have replaced the PCM. We got power to the injector pump, but it will not come on. We pulled up one code. It was P1694, but don't know what it is. Our book that we got doesn't show anything.

 

You do need a lift pump. Then bleed injectors 1,3,&4. P1694 is no ccd message recieved from ecm. Check ecm wire harness for corrosion and clean if needed as well as c3 plug on pcm. ecm pin 40 is ccd- and pin 41 is ccd+ pcm c3 pin 28 is ccd- and pin 30 is ccd+ according to the diagram I have.

 

well think its my injector pump only getting fuel to one cylinder
