That part I can't explain exactly. maybe its heat related, and after hour of driving it get heated up enough. Not sure to be honest. Just trying to eliminate what is could be.

I started it up about 18 hours later. Same thing with last time. No problems after letting it sit. I shouldve tried immediately. And yes i used cruise ad i thought about that also..

When i kick cruise off by pushing the button to turn it off, the truck kicks. Could that be the apps binding or something?

The cruise cable does pull on the APPS to function. The cruise cable should have slack when not in use.

Im now beginning to wonder if maybe your cruise is holding it up to 1000 rpm when you stop...hmmmm if I lived closer Id come out a look at it..

Maybe next time you take a trip dont use cruise controll and see if it still does it, be a pain on your foot though!!

By popping the hood, removing the APPS cover, and looking at the cables. The lower cable goes to the trans, top outside to the foot pedal, and top inside to cruise.
