Default looking for some advice for better fuel mileage

Hey guys! I am in the process of buying a stock 2000 5.9.. I was wandering what the economical way to improve fuel mileage with out doing any tranny upgrades? Which tuner do you recommend? Which cold air intake? The truck has a 4" exhaust on it. I was wandering if i could get a package price on a tuner, cold air intake and boost gauge, tranny temp and pyro gauge with a pillar mount? Keep in mind im looking to keep everything under $1000.

Thanks for the help.

I only got 2mpg better with my setup but I have not done any tranny upgrades yet. Still waiting on the stock parts to fail before spending the money. My dad got 3mpg with Quad mileage max and S&B filter with super scoop on his 03. Maybe some of the guys with upgraded trannys will chime in here but from what I've read tranny upgrades like an upgraded valve body and tc lockup switch (or ATS copilot) will get better mpg.

Consider the quadzilla adrenaline w/v2 you will get the gauges and adjustable programming you can set to the best mpg setting for your truck, and the S&B would also me by suggestion. All would be less than a 1000 no problem
