hx35/40 supercharger sound

hx35/40 supercharger sound

At WOT my hx35/40 changes from a turbo wistle to sounding like a supercharger wine. is this normal and or could it be a boost leak? theres a little up and down shaft play, but not enough to touch the comp housing.

Mines the same at 23+ boost

yeah thats about where mine starts to do it. id sure like to know whats causing it.

Well, mine does it too so I'd say it's maybe normal for it. I asked my cummins friends about it and they all noticed it. Doesn't seem to effect mine and only does it from 23psi to full bore.
